The 2024 Jubilee Foursomes was played in almost perfect conditions for the 36-hole stroke event. The Karrinyup Jug was contested by a strong field, and the team of Jules Harris and Peter Manning shot a fantastic Nett score of 69.5 to lead at the halfway mark. After a delightful lunch and some refreshments, players were optimistic, and many teams started the afternoon round with high expectations of chasing the leaders by shooting a low score.
The temperature rose to 36 degrees, which added further challenges for the players. However, some teams relished the warmer conditions and faster greens. Gavin Steinberg and Michael Bruce shared the best afternoon score, and Roy William and Stephen Hauville shot a magnificent Nett score of 66.5.
Despite the intense competition, the morning leaders maintained their good form and played superbly again in the afternoon. They finished with a Nett score of 72.5 and won the Karrinyup Jug with a combined Nett score of 142 (rounds of 69.5 & 72.5).
