On Sunday 6th October, 12 juniors travelled to Royal Perth Golf Club (despite challenges with all the road closures) to compete in the annual Bill Plowman trophy. On a beautiful sunny morning there was a definite home course advantage with lots of temporary greens and amended course layout! The event is played as a 4BBB par which is a challenge for everyone. All twelve teams recorded a below par round with matches very close, scores ranging from +3 to +9. Frieda Williams and Nisile Siwale recorded the best score of the day with +9 but overall winners of the day were the home side – 3.5/2.5 matches. Many thanks to Royal Perth Golf Club for hosting the event this year providing great weather and lovely lunch – we look forward to hosting next year to regain the trophy!
