On Saturday 16th August 2025, Vice Captain Garry Kurtz proudly welcomed Members to the long-awaited staging of the Men’s Vice Captain’s Trophy – and what a day it turned out to be! After a calendar reshuffle for the weather-related postponement, the event finally returned in glorious winter sunshine and outstanding spirit across the field.
A near-full field embraced the occasion with enthusiasm and camaraderie, setting the stage for some fantastic golf. Congratulations go to Hal Mulder, who produced a superb 42-point round to claim this year’s Trophy and take home the Titleist Backpack and LKCC Driver and Fairway headcover set.
In a tightly contested finish, Jorge Nigaglioni and Mick Malone also recorded excellent 41-point scores and can be proud of their efforts.
Another highlight came when Garry’s playing partner and long-time friend, Mark Crumby, shared a few heartfelt words about the Vice Captain, which were warmly received by everyone in the room.
