Hole In One Twins

Wednesday afternoons competition roared into life mid round with a pair of amazing feats on the 8th hole. Just before 3pm Howard Cearns started the ball rolling with his 4 iron proving to be the perfect club. Unfortunately Howard didn’t actually see the ball go in and only discovered his ace after not finding his ball in the bunker! Howard had probably only made it to the 9th green when Ken Hellsten stood on the 8th tee and repeated this rare achievement. To add to this rare coincidence – Howard and Ken have lockers right next to each other! It was both players first hole-in-one and it is an understatement to say they were elated with the achievement – a feeling shared by the packed bar who helped them celebrate post golf.

Congratulations to both Howard and Ken.
