To all Members,
A number of months ago members were asked to participate in one of a series of focus groups with the expressed purpose of finding out just what members saw into the future for their club and more specifically the clubhouse and surrounds. The questions posed by John Pollaers, facilitator from the Australian Institute of Management were established to discover from members what they wanted their club to look like in 2023, just ten years from now.
In excess of 100 members and staff participated in this process and we sincerely thank all of them for providing valuable feedback to the Building Committee and in turn to the General Committee. As promised we have included the Focus Group Results Report on the website for all members to view – click here. The results were both interesting and enlightening. A good cross section of members participated to ensure the results reflected the views of the membership as a whole. It is important to note that the information within the report has not been “sanitised” and reflects the many views held by those members that participated.
Where to from here? The Building Committee is presently reviewing the information within this report as well as all of the detailed feedback that came out of each focus group. The intention is to deliver a series of recommendations to the General Committee which will most likely recommend the formulation of a Master Plan. I remind you that the General Committee has made no commitments to deliver on any of these items at this time but due consideration will be given to all.
