Friday 20 September saw the third annual instalment of the 4 Club Challenge at the Cottesloe Golf Club. This concept originated at Lake Karrinyup in 2011 and involves 20 groups, with each group containing a member from Lake Karrinyup, Cottesloe, Mt Lawley and Royal Perth. The day is a great way for members to discuss issues affecting each club.
Unlike most interclub matches the home side has never managed to hold the trophy aloft with 2013 being no exception. The game is individual stableford with the best 12 scores counting towards the team score. A very steady Lake Karrinyup side combined for a team score of 382 to win from the home side on 377 with Royal Perth (365) and Mt Lawley (359) following. A fantastic effort from all involved.
The event will be held at the Mt Lawley Golf Club in 2014.
