President Chris Carey welcomed 50 senior members to morning tea in the Club’s main bar this morning – 15th January. This initiative started last year when the General Committee decided to invite senior members who may not necessarily play golf any more to get together for a coffee and a good old chat. Today’s morning tea was the third of these and it was thoroughly enjoyed by all in attendance. The President took great delight in announcing that the average age of the group was 80, the average years of service was 39, the total age of all in attendance was 3,758 years and the total years of service was 1,823. We look forward to hosting another morning tea later in the year.
