On Thursday 16th October 2014, a field of 92 on the Main Course and 14 on the North Course, having been randomly selected to play in either the President’s Team or the Captains Team played Canadian Foursomes.  This competition has been staged 13 times previously with the Presidents Team having won 7 of those contests.

 

Having been refreshed with tea, coffee, muffins and sweets, the teams played from a Shotgun start in beautiful conditions.  The results on the Main Course was a draw, but the Captain’s Team on the North Course managed to win the event by 1 match to give the Captain’s Team the equalising win.

 

Look out for next year’s competition when both teams will have won the contest 7 times!
