Friday the 5th December saw 120 members and guests enjoy a delectable 3 course lunch designed by head chef Beau Ridgers accompanied with some magnificent Cape Mentelle wines.
It was a wonderful afternoon, opening up with Cape Mentelle’s chief winemaker Evan Thompson telling his craft to the audience before the young & talented ABC Grandstand broadcaster Corbin Middlemas interviewed Danny Green extensively starting with his amateur career in the Olympics, then through his professional boxing career and now life after boxing where Danny is putting a lot back into the community with his national “Coward” punch campaign and other initiatives.
The four time world champion was very open in the interview providing a great deal of detail and insight into the life of a boxer including both the ups & down along the way and impressed the audience with his honesty, humility and humour.
