Legacy Day Winners

The 2015 Legacy Day was held on Sunday the 26th of April. Legacy is the principle charity supported by Lake Karrinyup and does exceptional work for the families of returned service men and women.

Lake Karrinyup’s support of this charity dates back over 50 years to 1963 when the WA Golf Association asked the golf clubs throughout the state to raise funds for Legacy. Lake Karrinyup responded to this request by holding a mixed golf event which raised funds directly for Legacy.

2015’s event attracted a field of 58 pairings who teed it up in the Mixed Canadian Foursomes competition. The weather and course conditions provided an enjoyable setting throughout the morning. There were some good results amongst the field, with none better then Marnie Brown and Jon Clancy who combined wonderfully to post a stableford score of 38 points. This score was strong enough to take out the 2015 Legacy Day.

Following golf a delicious lunch was served, this incorporated a raffle which raised in excess of $20,000 for Perth Legacy. Thank you to all those members who supported this event this year and helped make a difference to those families of returned service men and women.

Elliot Mitchell was the lucky 1st prize winner taking home a $1,000 travel voucher and 3 nights accommodation at the fabulous Cable Beach Resort.
