Origin & distribution: The coastal rainforest region of northern New South Wales and Queensland.
Height: to 30 metres.
Uses: Widely used as an ornamental tree.

If the winter is dry, flowering is likely to be erratic and partial.

It is related to the currajong (Brachychiton populneum).  There are two small currajongs near the 10th tee.

It adapts well to various climates.
